About
Hi, I'm Shea.
Grew up in Standish, Maine. Fascinated with computers since I was a kid.
Before this, I worked in the trades — sealcoating, landscaping, paving. All small local outfits, the kind where you're shoulder-to-shoulder with the owner every day. That's where I actually learned how these businesses run. The margins, the seasonality, the difference between a good day and a bad one, what brings customers in and what loses them — and how much money gets spent on ads and referral cards without anyone knowing which of it actually worked.
A friend asked me to build him a site when he started his business. That's when it hit me — most small businesses don't have one, and the ones that do usually can't tell you which of their marketing dollars are producing jobs. I've seen owners lose real money to spend they couldn't account for, guessing at what to keep and what to cut because nothing was tagged or tracked.
That's why I built Rankisity. Contractors already paying for leads deserve to know which channels are actually booking jobs — built by someone who understands what their day looks like, not just their marketing.
A few things about me outside of work
- Black coffee is the hallmark of a good breakfast joint. If they can't get the coffee right, the eggs aren't going to save them.
- I hike, climb, and do pretty much anything that gets me outside and moving.
- I respond to emails faster than you'd expect.
